Meet Dr. Kern, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kern joined Orange County Physicians’ Hearing Services in 2024, completing her fourth- year clinical externship as part of the California audiology licensure process. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University in 2021, and went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology in 2025 through the joint program at San Diego State University and UC San Diego. 

Throughout her training, Dr. Kern contributed significantly to the field of audiology through her active involvement with the Student Academy of Audiology and her long-term research participation in the Auditory 

Physiology and Psychoacoustics Laboratory at San Diego State University (2018–2025). Her professional interests include pediatric and adult diagnostic audiology, as well as cochlear implant services. 

Dr. Kern currently provides patient care at the Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, and Costa Mesa offices.
