Dr. Liu joined Orange County Physicians’ Hearing Services in 2024. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and received his Doctor of Audiology degree from San Diego State University in 2015.

Before entering the field of audiology, Dr. Liu worked in medicinal chemistry, where he synthesized small molecules for pharmaceutical research. His clinical interests include adult diagnostic evaluations, tinnitus management, hearing conservation, and the fitting and adjustment of hearing aids. He is a strong believer in patient empowerment and strives to ensure that each individual understands their hearing health, available treatment options, and the reasoning behind their care.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Liu enjoys playing basketball, playing guitar, and reading science fiction. He speaks English, some Mandarin, and—when necessary—fluent Gen Z.

Dr. Liu currently provides patient care at the Mission Viejo and Irvine offices.
