Meet Dr. Chu, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Chu joined Orange County Physicians’ Hearing Services in 2025, following the completion of her fourth-year clinical externship at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego as part of the California audiology licensure process. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University and went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology in 2025 through the joint program at San Diego State University and UC San Diego. 

During her training, Dr. Chu was actively involved with the Student Academy of Audiology and participated in Audiology en Español, furthering her ability to support patients from diverse backgrounds. She also conducted research on the effects of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on the auditory system, contributing to the growing body of knowledge on COVID-19’s impact on hearing health. Her clinical interests include pediatric and adult diagnostic audiology, cochlear implants, and tinnitus management. 

Dr. Chu currently provides patient care at the Mission Viejo office.
