Dr. Chu DeWees joined Orange County Physicians’ Hearing Services in 2025 after completing her fourth-year clinical externship at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego as part of the California audiology licensure process. She earned her B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University and her Doctor of Audiology degree through the joint San Diego State University and UC San Diego program.

Dr. Chu DeWees’ clinical interests include pediatric and adult diagnostic audiology, cochlear implants, and tinnitus management. During her training, she was actively involved with the Student Academy of Audiology and Audiology en Español, and conducted research on the effects of SARS-CoV-2 on the auditory system.

She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds and can provide care in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Dr. Chu DeWees currently sees patients at the Mission Viejo office.
